As a charity, every donation - be it cash, time, knowledge or research - helps us to Find A Better Way.

All research is inherently risky as the provision of a solution to a particular stated problem is not something that can be assured. However, with regular reports on key existing projects and the objective assessment of new ideas, Find A Better Way is able to create a balanced portfolio of promising projects. The reviews will also mean that we have an independent, fair and auditable method of providing updates to our supporters.

The SUA Panel have developed a series of processes to standardise management and review tasks. This is based on an established and proven academic peer review system. It's designed to provide the board of trustees with sufficient insight into the intended outcomes, the benefits of the research and how the research relates specifically to areas of humanitarian demining. The review process also informs the trustees of the charity as to what background research has been undertaken, and demonstrates a clear path of how the research will eventually become a working product.
