FABW Runs Manchester 10k!

Yesterday 19 runners successfully completed the Great Manchester Run to support Find A Better Way. In total the runners raised over £6,000 for the charity – an incredible total!

Before the runners joined the starting line Sir Bobby wished them all good luck at The Midland Hotel in Manchester. There were a range of friends and supporters of the charity running – from staff members, trustees and several academics who work on our research projects. Well done to all of our runners for such a great effort – and in particular to Dr Alex Casson (a lecturer at The University of Manchester) who ran an incredible time of 42 minutes 9 seconds!

Sir Bobby Charlton, Founder & Trustee, said ‘Yesterday was a phenomenal success and it was fantastic to see such support of Find A Better Way from all involved. The total surpassed our target and exceeded the amount of money raised last year which was an incredible result. The money raised means we will be able to continue to make progress with our mission to make a profound difference to the millions of innocent people and communities affected by landmines around the world through our research, education and humanitarian projects. A huge thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored!’

In order to achieve our Five Year Vision we are need to raise £20 million. Fundraising for Find A Better Way will help to save lives and help communities across the globe to negate the effects of landmines and Explosive Remnants of War. To make a donation please click here.
