Manchester United Shirt Sale fundraiser sets new record

Last week’s Manchester United Shirt Sale hit a new one-day record for the annual Find A Better Way fundraiser.

Hundreds of shirts, scarves, and other Manchester United merchandise were on sale in Booth’s Park, Knutsford on Wednesday, with all proceeds supporting the humanitarian work of Sir Bobby Charlton’s charity.

Doors opened at 10am to brisk sales, and Sir Bobby himself arrived at noon to meet supporters, sign additional shirts, and pose for photographs.

With Manchester United fans coming from all over Cheshire and farther afield (including at least two visitors from Norway), the sale hit a new one-day record for the annual fundraiser.

“It was an extremely busy day and the Find A Better Way staff worked very hard organising the event and making sure it all went smoothly,” said Find A Better Way CEO Lou McGrath.

“We would like to thank everyone who took part and made the day such a success, especially Manchester United who graciously donated the shirts and other kit as they have done for several years now.”
