Soccerex and Find A Better Way – a perfect match

Find A Better Way scored with visitors at Europe’s leading football business event.

Soccerex 2013 proved a great opportunity for Find A Better Way to raise awareness of its work to find technology based solutions to aid the destruction of landmines in former war zones around the world.

The charity, founded by England and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton were among exhibitors at the event held at Manchester Central.

Sir Bobby was among a galaxy of stars at the event including Eusebio, Michael Owen, Kevin Keegan, Ossie Ardiles and current England Manager Roy Hodgson.

John Edees, Chairman of Find A Better Way said: “Sir Bobby’s unrivalled status in the football community and the fact that Soccerex is held in Manchester meant that exhibiting was a golden opportunity for Find A Better Way.

“We already receive excellent support from the footballing community, including Sir  Alex Ferguson, and exhibiting at Soccerex generated a great deal of extra interest in our work, including an appearance in Sky Sports’ coverage of the event.”

Find A Better Way was founded by Sir Bobby after he saw the death and destruction caused by landmines on ambassadorial trips to Bosnia and Cambodia.

The charity is based in Knutsford, just south of Manchester, and links to football include support for Find A Better Way from global risk company AON, who are, Manchester United’s main sponsor.
